Gun Safes in an Apartment? Gun Safes for an Apartment? Next month, I'll be moving into a place of my own for the first time (hooray for graduating college AND having a job! lol). The biggest concern that I have at this point is what to do about my gun collection. I have a handful of pistols and long guns, and had always just kept them in my father's safe. But now, I'll be moving into an apartment. I know that I'll need a safe, but without reinforced floors, I'm weary about getting one. I'd ideally like to get something similar to what I grew up using (digital lock, >1 hr. fire protection, etc.). However, there's no way I'd be able to put something like that in an apartment - it'd just be too darn heavy. So does anyone have any suggestions for how to store guns safely in an apartment?
