Value of used Fort Knox Guardian gun safe? I am looking into buying a gun safe. I found a used Fort Knox Guardian safe for $1200. It has a 20 gun capacity and is the 6031 model. I was wondering if this is a good price to pay for it.
Is Fort Knox in KY a nice army base? Is the surrounding area nice/safe? What is on base housing like? On-base schools? In general, is this a nice base? Are there nicer bases? Etc..... Any experience with army bases would be helpful.
Temporary housing in Fort Knox/Louisville? I am marrying my fiancee in just over 2 weeks. He is a soldier stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Because the Army is the way it is, the soonest we could get on base housing would be 6 months. I cannot stay with him in the barracks, even though we will be married. The only temporary housing we have found has a minimum of 3 months. We will only need it for 1 month. I will have to return to Texas to work after that. We did find EXTREMELY sketchy extended stay hotels on the south side of Louisville. We didn't feel safe there. Does anybody know of anything that would work? We looked on Craiglist.com to no real solution. My fiancee refuses to do any roommate situation for our first month of marriage. We are looking at spending well over $1500 for just one month! And that's on top of my rent I'll be paying for my place in Texas. I'm a teacher and he is an enlisted soldier. Any credible suggestion on what to do would be helpful. Thanks!

Where does the government put my hard earned SS retirement money? I want to see where they keep my hard earned SS retirement money. I hope they have kept it in a safe place. Do you think that maybe they put some gold bars in Fort Knox with my SS number on them. Can the government be trusted to run any business or fund properly? Why would the government be responsible with medical insurance?
What neighborhood in Louisville would be best for me to live in? I am 27, a bartender, and my husband will be commuting to Fort Knox so I guess highway accesibility would be nice. My biggest concern is that I want to be able to walk to a workplace. (In a safe neighborhood) Thanks! I guess I should also add that I prefer "worn out" bars over high end resteraunt bars to workk at. Thanks!

Why is Polosi demanding all work raid come to completely come to stop? Why is Ms Polosi demanding an end to all work site raids allowing all criminals to secure work with fake or stolen documents and the police cannot do anthing about all the criminals. Also who said crime does not pay. I guess all the crinicals free to drink martinies and watch the criminals sun raise and why is it all the All the police are helpless to do anything when the illegals rip it up. Why are police helplesss to do anthing .Why the double standads? Why advocaotes to this day say ing along the Mexico border saying the area is safe as fort knox is this a myth or reality.
Seafood and Kentucky? I am trying to find somewhere to buy fresh safe seafood around the fort knox area specifically for cooking at home. Every time I ask someone they send me to a restaurant! Thanks!
Want to get best answer, then answer this? You are working for Fort Knox, and are responsible for storing the gold in large safes. One day your boss walks up and has some bad news: "Ok, someone screwed up. They delivered a package here that contains fake gold. The only way to recognize the package is by its weight, so you will have to weigh every package and see if it is lighter than the others. I already spoke with the folks at registry and narrowed it down to 512000 packets, which is still a lot I guess. You have time until tomorrow to find the quickest way to get the job done. I can get 4 scales from town, but every scale will only hold 1000 packages max. Also you won't be able to get the weight from these scales, but you will easily see the difference if the fake package is on one of these scales, of course only if all the scales have the exact same number of packages on them. I want you to find the way that needs the fewest scale attempts for the worst case scenario. For every scaling you can put a stack of packages (not more than 1000 for every stack) on each of the four scales, and see the difference between those four stacks of packages. When you have the procedure please find the number of scale attempts needed for the best case and the worst case and report with the numbers to me tomorrow. I hope it is better than mine, because if not I may just fire you.".... number of scaling attempts for best case scenario ______ number of scaling attempts for worst case scenario ______
Army Deserter Question!!? My best friend is an army deserter and she is turning herself in, but she needs to fly up to Fort Knox to turn herself in. I am not sure who to ask but is it safe for her to fly, should she run into any problems, cause people have told her she shouldn't have any problem. Can anyone let me know so I can tell her. She really needs to get up there. I kind of figured that since she was considered a deserter with the US Army and there was an outstanding warrant or whatever they do to try and get her back she couldn't fly up to fort knox to turn herself in, but I am not in the army and don't know much about it.
How to encourage barking when the doorbell rings? We have two dogs at home. One is a 9 year old who rarely lifts her head when the doorbell rings and the other pup is a 6 month old hound mix. We live in a very safe neighborhood and like many of the homes in our area, our house is basically Fort Knox, in the sense that we have an alarm system, multiple locks on each door (both inside and out) as well as private neighborhood secuirty. With that said, I'd like to have my puppy bark or make himself known when the doorbell rings. He's been formally trained and will obey a sit-stay, even when he's riled up. Can anyone suggest some training exercises or a way for us to begin reinforcing doorbell = bark? Thanks!
how do i get my employees to understand computer viruses? My husband and I run a small business where we have 10 employees in the office. Recently, one of my employees asked if they could have our internet ID code so they could listen to the radio using our wifi via his phone. I said no b/c the company who does our IT for us said that if many people are using the internet radio at the same time it will slow our system. So, this is when I found out that basically all 10 of them listen to internet radio via our companies wifi every day. I was surprised b/c our system is never slow, but I told them that we were thinking of making it company policy to ban internet radio b/c of the slowness it brings to our internet and risk of viruses. Every time my IT company comes out to fix yet another broken computer or whatever, they tell me all kinds of helpful tips about computers and internet. They said we are protected by firewalls and virus protection software, but they said viruses can come from anywhere and the virus one of my employees got this week on his computer, they said came from google. They tell me of all the latest viruses out there to be aware of, they tell all the helpful things I need to get from them to make our system very safe. It is frustrating b/c my employees make fun of how secure our systems are, they say "why does it need to be like fort knox, we're just a landscaping company?" but they are not the owner of the business so they do not understand. I am just so worried that a virus will come and wipe out our whole system and years of work will be gone in one second. so now i am very couscous, and i tell them not to go on any websites, even though they complain that many of the websites are blocked by the firewall software. They say they have never experienced our system to be slow but I told them that our IT company gave us this information and I don't know how to get them to understand that going on the internet radio will make it slow. I mean, I depend on our IT company to tell me everything about computers since I just got a computer in my home for the first time last year, besides that, all my experience with computers has been from work. If they say I need it, then I get it. Have any suggestions? They do not realize the seriousness (wow this really stresses me out!)
Will supporters be outraged what if illegal not drug cartel will they demand Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu? Will supporters be outraged what if illegal not drug cartel will they demand Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu stop this at once for Napolitano has said the border is secured as Fort Knox ? Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is anticipating an armed conflict between his deputies and cartel members within the next 30 to 60 days. Babeu made that prediction last week as he addressed an Ahwatukee Foothills Republican women's club, and reiterated it Tuesday on the heels of a speech by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano asserting that border communities are safer than ever. A gunbattle is all but certain, Babeu told The Arizona Republic, because his deputies and members of a regional SWAT team are now routinely working to stop smugglers from pushing cargo through Pinal. "We have had enough," Babeu said. "That's why we're going into these areas and sending a very clear message to the cartels: We see you and we're not going to let you through." An outspoken critic of U.S. immigration policy, Babeu said cartels have stepped up their tactics in Pinal County by reinforcing smuggling routes with armed guards to ward off potential bandits, in addition to stationing more lookouts on high points of the landscape. Some bandits are impersonating police, Babeu said, and he worries that smugglers won't know the difference.
