laptop security? i have a fujitsu siemens 3mths old how do i know if i hav got eny internet security, because my laptop is running slow all of a sudden i hav got a lot of memory left?????

Is there a difference between desktop and laptop security software? I need to update my security software on my laptop and my desktop. I thought buying a program that can be used on 2 computers would work. I got it to download on my desktop but it wouldn't go on my laptop. Do I need software that specifies for laptop or should any of it work?

Why can't I use the AVG Internet security License I bought for my desktop on my laptop? I have bought the license for full version of AVG security installed on my desktop. Now I want to install the full version on my laptop which I am using at home but it does not accept the license number which I have extracted from the current version I have on my desktop computer and has not expired either. Does this mean for every machine you need to buy a new license? Is there a way around this?

I have Eset Smart Security on my laptop. Is it a good program for keeping my computer safe from attack? I like it so far.
