When you go to a bank why are the pens chained down and the vaults doors open?
Are they saying their pens are worth more than your money? Or all the robbers more interested in the pens than your money?

- maybe it's all a trick to make you think that the pens are valuable, and the vault is just a ploy
- People tend to pocket pens and lighters. They don't have public access to the vault.
- Hmm...well, speaking from the experience of constantly losing pens I can tell ya its a pain in the ass constantly getting out another every time one of my docs runs off with one. But remember, they are keeping a much closer eye on the vault than some little cheapie pens. I just heard this one for the 20 millionth time the other day on my xm comedy channel.
- Because the vast majority of people are far more likely to steal a pen than they are to rob a bank vault -- even if both were easily accessible. The reason is that if you're caught stealing a pen, the worst that will happen is someone will say "Hey, put that back!", but if you're caught robbing a bank vault, you're going to do hard prison time.
- I DONT KNOW BUT I GIVE YOU A STAR FOR ASKING SUCH A GOOD FUNNY QUESTION I HOPE YOU GET I GOOD ANSWER ILL CHECK BACK TO SEE
- Because it's hard to steal a vault and take it home.
- I work at a bank and our pens are not chained and our vault is ALWAYS locked....I guess you go to a bank in the ghetto.
- I think the AAPT( Agency Against Pen Thieves) are seated in the vault waiting to deploy the crafty officers to avenge penmakers everywhere. I have filed several reports against them(be sure you get that flashlight number.) Didn't you ever wonder who the manager was taliking to to when entering the vault!! J/K They are just keeping accurate count of the money after every person comes and goes. And there is someone seated there to administer monies. And that person is watched very closely as well!! I hope that cleared it up!!! Be blessed!!
- Because the bank owns the pens but the money is yours! (wouldn't want them to dip into their billion $ profits to buy new pens - they don't care about losing your money)
