Should we outlaw burial vaults and cremation because they inhibit the developement of fossil fuel?
What do you people think "fossil" fuel came from?

- hm. i didnt know it DID inhibit the fossils. **ok i just did some research.. i found out that over the last several thousands of years, the dead, in all countries and cultures have been disposed of in 3 major ways. 1-burial 2-cremation 3-human consumption...yes, other people ate them. AHEM, thanks but i'll pass on this one.
- No. because too much people think the same exact opposite.
- Stand facing towards the front. Now turn your head so that you are looking directly behind you. Now start walking forward. Tricky, isn't it? The analogy, I trust, is self-evident. You can't possibly make the right kind of progress if you are looking behind you all the time. You are thinking far too much about how things used to be, how they have changed and how they might have been under different circumstances. All this is sapping your strength and robbing you of the ability to seize a brand-new opportunity. [][][]0[][][]0[][][]
- HECK NO..... WHAT NEXT..??
- idk jus earnin points here
- I think if we started burying people without coffins and stuff ever since we discovered fuel, this would help develop more fossil fuel, now is too late. It will take millions of years for those bodies to turn into fuel. It's a good idea, just a bit late.
- ya or you can be buried and waste more real estate
- No because if everyone gets buried we're going to run out of ground soon.
- There is no such thing as "fossil fuel". That term was coined in the middle of the last century and due to either stupidity or for Political motives has never left the vernacular. Decomposing plants and animals do just that, they decompose. They're absorbed into the soil and they become nutrients to plant life. They do not sink miles below the surface to return 10,000 years later as crude oil. Most credible Geologists believe Coal, shale, and oil to be natural by products of the planets core.
- I do think people should have a chose if they want to purchase a burial vault for their loved one or not. In my state, it is the law. Dieing is a money making business!
- Fossil fuels take millions of years to develop and are not made by large animals but plants (coal) or tiny oceanic animals (oil). No dinosaurs were used to make your gasoline. I hope you are not thinking we can extend the fossil fuel reserve by using dead people. Because if you are. I politely decline the invitation to tea at your house.
