Which way should my ceiling fan turn if I have a vaulted/cathedral ceiling?
I have a very high vaulted ceiling. The ceiling is like that in the living room and kitchen...which is basically one big room. In the kitchen there is a ceiling fan. With it being winter in here Nebraska I want to keep as much heat in the house as possible! I know heat rises, so should I have my ceiling fan going clockwise or counter clock wise? Or should I leave it off?? Please help!

- In the summer it should go counter clockwise, in the winter it should turn clockwise, but we never turn our fans on to circulate the heat.
- run it so it will blow down, in winter, pull up in summer
- Off, but that was an obvious answer....
- Which ever way makes it push the air back down!!!!
- I know nothing about this but if you go to this website you can ask them anything about ceiling fans... go here: http://www.hansenwholesale.com/answers.asp?currPage=2&PerPage=30&ProdType=CFFM Hope this helps :)
