Is 12 gauge stainless steel stronger than 12 g. regular steel? How thick is it? Strong enough for a wall safe?
Is it thick and strong enough to store valuables in and keep the "Average" crook out. (Not professional crooks) I hear they can open most anything given enough time. Oh, by the way this is one of those safes that only opens with the owners fingerprint.(Biometrics) Thanks :)

- yes it is way stronger than mild steel. and it is about 1/8 inch thick
- 12 gage is 12 gage about .038 of an inch thick . some stainless is of lessor quality while some sheet steel is better ,plate steel is usually better. That should keep most out if well built structurally. It wont be firesafe.
- the strength is exactly the same....stainless means it wont rust easily
