is it true that wen u put money in the bank, it doesnt get stored in a vault it just gets given to some1 else?

i thought wen u put money in a bank, they keep it 4 u. my freind sed they jst giv it to some1 else n then wen u want money they take it off some1 to giv to u? ??????????????????????????????

1. Yes its exactly what you said, it gets stored in vaults like in Harry Potter... So if you have $10,000 in the bank, they have $1000 $10 bills in stacks...And they stay there until you ask for them. Good luck in life... Screw your friend they are lying to you...
2. yes. your actual money doesn't stay in the vault. it is given to those who transact withdrawals or acquire loans from the bank. But that doesn't mean you lost your money, it is there and it is still yours stated in your bankbook as credit balance. you can have or withdraw the same amount any time you want
