How do you open safes in Splinter Cell Double Agent?

Hi Just got this game and I cannot open the safes, how do you do this? Thanks

1. You have to align the circle discs so the cut out bits are all in the same position, you use the analog stick to turn them one by one, you have to do it on each disc until it turns green and clicks then you go the opposite way for the next disc then the other way for the next disc and so on until you have them all aligned and unlocks easy once you get the hang of it
2. You have to even up the disks. and you have to go the opposite direction each time (left right left right etc.)
