Would a strong acid be able to corrode the lock of a bank vault?
I am busy writing a piece about a bank robbery, and need a good scientifically viable way to break into a bank vault. Aside from a thermal lance, are there any scientifically viable ways to break into a well fortified bank vault?

- yes
- It depends on what the lock is made of. Given enough time, aqua regia will dissolve any metal except iridium.
- grab the bank manager an get him to open it. any acid will take too long. or you could freeze the volt door with liquid nitro then wack it with a something big.
