3. hi there, you need a number of things, anti spyware - use spybot search and destroy or google antispyware, anti virus - use AVG or Avast and for the firewall just use windows, as long as you have service pack 2 , make sure your router has it's firewall switched on, make sure the guest account on your computer is disabled, make sure the admin account has a password, theres more, added it below

5. It is your computer, but I stay away from the big ones that hog space and slow me down. I use regcure, spysweeper with antivirus, and Xoft spySE. With these 3 things I have had no problems in over 3 years. It cost me 60 for a year but never have had any troubles.
