How has your home changed since you've had the baby?

Our home just keeps getting more and more SAFE! Everything is getting higher, blocked off, softer .... we love it but it's so weird. What about you?

1. same for me...and toys in every room! lol
2. my home seems to always be messy, between my 4.5yr old, my 6 month olds demands and my 12yr old it just seems like i can never get anything done. My husband does what he can but his late night shifts make it so hard.
3. Same here. Our fireplace has a huge piece of foam across it and padding all around the bottom of it. It looks funny but I don't worry about her falling and potentially hurting herself badly on it. Better a funny looking living room then a hurt baby. My whole house is very safe now.
4. It changes in ways you don't even realize. You expect people to knock quieter, walk quieter, talk quieter....you want the t.v turned down, you (eventually) watch your language more carefully. You are more worried about germs and dirt and of course, small pieces. And you probably watch out more for bugs!!! I think you keep an eye on the temperature of the house and you've always got to keep an eye on the kitchen to make sure you have enough formula or milk or water or clean bottles!!! :)
5. Its become CLEANER. It has to be with a baby. Im constantly picking things up, washing this and that, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, etc. Its always something!
6. Mine is more cluttered. My living room has been swallowed up by an exersaucer, swing, toy box and play gym. Not that I mind, my daughter loves her toys :)
7. Well my son is only 8 weeks old, but now we have things like his bassinet, swing, bouncy and play mat in the living room when before there was only a basket of toys (my neice's). We had to clear tables and such when my neice started walking and when she would come over. Its differnt...but a good different:)
8. I didn't really change much of anything. I don't believe in baby proofing, I believe it leads your kids to want to touch everything more. No one in my entire family has ever done it and we were all the kind of kids you could bring to an old ladys house with 500000 knick knacks and breakable things and not even have to watch really. Toys are everywhere my daughter has changed that. and I have to clean a lot more. that ahhhhh the whole house is clean and I can sit and look at it and enjoy it thing is gone, now it is oh wow this room looks like it did before I cleaned it 10 minutes ago. Oh and pictures EVERYWHERE, my house is a shrine to my daughter. ha.
9. we had a baby 4 weeks ago. our house is a mess!! my house was spotless pre-baby, now we're lucky to get the dishes and laundry done. very lucky to shower before noon! and we have a very high stress level, so it makes things more difficult.
10. There waws always a lot of love, but now there's soooo much more! We're always happy and playful. The main change isn't my fav thing though. It's not as clean. It's not dirty by any means, I clean as much as possible, but I just can't keep up with the house work as well as before.
