I have 1 computer at home. No need to share or have remote access. Is it safe to disable the WAN Miniport?

disable the WAN Miniports in my device drivers? I see like 6 of them. I dont want anyone connecting so will disabling them make it safer?

1. sure. just dont disable the LAN (ethernet)
2. easier way is to delete every profile but admin, your login, and disable guest account... also open a command prompt Start->Run: (type) CMD then type NET CONFIG SERVER /HIDDEN:YES in the prompt refer to the Microsoft article to see its ok. this will make you as a ghost on any network. also within the properties of your network device uninstall file and print sharing POOF your like the Invisible Girl
