Safe Luxury

Is it safe for me to clean out my cat's litter box AFTER I give birth?

Or should I wait a little while, and continue making my husband do it? Just wondering, b/c my husband may not be able to be home much after I give birth. I don't clean it out now, just kind of preparing I guess. Thanks! ** I'm at 31 weeks if you needed any of that info**

  1. Are you planning on breastfeeding? If you are I wouldn't. If not, then just use a latex free glove when cleaning it out and wash your hands after. I wouldn't take any chances on passing anything to your little one.
  2. you can clean it out if you want...just wash your hands. really, wash your hands. you dont want your child to get something nasty...
  3. Yea There Is Nothing Wrong With Changing It. If You Want Your Husband To Continue Doing It Then Fine Lol. Just Wash Your Hands Before And After Changing The Tray, And Use Some Type Of Animal Friendly Disinfectant On The Tray And The Surrounding Floor. You Will Find The Disinfectant In Most Pet Shops. Good Luck With Your Baby ! XXXX
  4. I think it will be just fine, as long as you wash your hands afetrwards
