- buying a refurbished one online would'nt be a great idea, you never know what they do to them. Might as well buy one from a store or so.
- Yes it is very safe to buy refurbished. I buy refurbished all of the time, and get great quality for less price! i would recommend it 100%! Derek
- Only if you have guarantee, most refurbished items are new items people for several reasons return, the law doesn't allow to sell these items as new, so they sell it way cheaper branded as refurbished There are a few items that were returned because of malfunction and the company repairs them and sell them again as refurbished, there is no way to know which is which so the best bet is to demand guarantee.
- if you go to ebay, olympus sells their cameras that they have refurbished. I bought one and have used it for a few years now. I would highly recommend it.
- Try buying the camera on ebay. Ebay is really safe if you know how to use it. Look for someone with many positive feedbacks. I buy on ebay all the time and if you get the camera and it's broken then maybe you can try filing a dispute with ebay. They're usually pretty good about those kinds of things. Just make sure you get insurance and maybe a warranty if they offer it. Good luck
