Reviews on the birth control pill, YAZ?

I just got home from the gynecologist and we were discussing different methods of birth control. He suggested that I take YAZ and I was just wondering if I really should or not. I was reading some of the reviews online and it hasn't helped much. Some people [mainly with PDMM] actually had great results with the pill and no complications, others became very ill and some even had ovarian cysts grow. =/ I'm sixteen turning seventeen and I just want to be safe :] My period lasts for only 3 days - 4 tops and can sometimes become very painful which is why my doctor suggested that I go on birth control. 1. I think they got in trouble for false advertising. You should see what that was all about before going on yaz
2. everyones different but I do know one thing about yaz .. that 2 of my friends got blood clots from the pill. But that's all i really know about it
3. I do not like Yaz.. I have been bleeding for almost 30 days none stop.. I am very depressed, and moody..have horrible cramps.. I hate the pill.. I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo (sp), but got switched over ..I love Ortho, and plan on going back to that BC pill.. Not trying to scare you, but that is my experience with Yaz.. BC works different for different people..But if you find one that works for you, do not switch!
