Do you ever think we should sometimes think IN the box?
This box is our box not a battlefield a home front harbor, safe-house a place where words can be exchanged, shared emotions need not fear rejection or ignoring every single word heard, absorbed remembered. We don't fight wars wars are resolved images, past, involvements dissolve in time "remember to breathe" *quote from The Sun - Mirah After reading - did the 2nd line make the 3rd line seem contradictory?

- Indeed The only thing missing....some hands perhaps !!! :-)
- After reading - no. my brain put a colon there. Very good, Cilla think in both places
- In or Out, we still have to contend with the idea that a box exists. Great write, Cilla.
- This is good...and holds all truth. This is a forum for safety...or should be.
- L2 & 3 are cool, I think, but if you want you could go with "but a home" instead. Boxes like that are good boxes, but I keep getting those darn styrofoam peanuts stuck in my hair!
- yes we should sometimes think IN the box. 2nd and 3rd line are not contradictory to me, I guess I too added punctuation there. I really like this one Cilla!! the addition of the quote at the end adds to it. Nicely done.
- "remember to breathe" has been said a lot of late to me. This is a great write. ma
- First, I want to second Ma (and you) about the breathing thing. When you write like this it's hard on the readers (I have small lungs). As to your additional details, yes - it seems contradicting but in a explaining why it's not a battlefield kind of way, so it works. Everything needs a contrast; that's how we judge. And last, to answer the question, who in the hell ever came up with the "think outside the box" saying anyway? My brain is THE BOX and that's where I do almost all of my thinking. Outside the box is the rest of the people (I like to twistshit up). Anywho . . . You're definitely writing within your voice here of late. I like!
- I like the guy above me's answer -- our brain is the box. Terrific poem.
- I believe the 2nd and 3rd lines are in accord. The impression seems to be that there should not be fighting within the box - words can be exchanged for ideas to be shared - but we do not need to come to blows - to settle the differences. We all need a safe harbor ♥ http://www.speedselling.com/uploads/Image/safeharbor.jpg
- Outside the box is overrated. It's cold out there... I really like this. Edgy :-)
