Is it safe to upgrade my Ubuntu 8.10 box to 9.04 beta? This is a home server machine (mythtv, file server)?

1. I would wait till it is out of beta.
2. It's a beta. I'd wait until the RC at least. Installing a beta is fine on a secondary machine that's unimportant, but not your primary machine.
