In need of a safe, clean, quiet rental in Ft Lauderdale area FL??? 10 points to most helpful?

We are planning on moving in July and every apartment complex we look at online has horrible reviews. We want an apartment or home for less than 1100 a month. It has to allow small dogs, and it has to be in a safe quiet area. Plantation and Davie is preference or somewhere close. Please help. Thanks
