- Plenty of free on-line storage is available; just pick a well known one (Microsoft "Skydrive" is one with plenty of space & free). For PW's, you'll want to do a bit of mix-up work. Don't save PW's to what they actually go to as a direct relation: have it associated with some word or phrase that only you would recognize, or perhaps a list, with special arrangement that can be interpreted by only you, in the event that somehow your computer becomes compromised. Passwords should never be kept as a text file in your system, for just this reason. Always have a 'unit handbook' with all your website, paid program, or sensitive passwords hand written. That way a stolen computer won't have the jackpot right with it. Enter PW's here in print, in emphasized font, to avoid confusion about what exactly the character is.
- I would be a bit scared of storing all of my userids/passwords on a 3rd party web site. Another option is downloading a password manager but storing it on a flash/thumb drive. That way, it's not physically installed on a computer, plus, you can use the flash drive on any other computer to get yourf userid/password on many sites.
