were can i get a home security system with no monthly payments.?

i live in an apartment for rent. in a very safe town. i just want one that has no monthley fees and that are cheap. i want it so when my kids come home and are home alone they arm it so if anyone ever trys to get in the can call the cops. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT ONES THAT ARE MONITOREd. and also im talknig about the ones i can install and that are simple .

2. Just buy one of those signs to put in your front yard. Most criminals won't bother if it looks like you have a brinks security system. Just buy the sign.

You can get wireless units at electronic stores most are no wire devices that you can attach to window and doors.most use batteries and are a pain,but some are combination battery and plug-in.They have a master unit with alarm.When someone breaks the circuit it set off the alarm at the master unit.If you buy one make sure the alarm is really load.good luck.
