Safe Luxury

What types of security have you added to your home, in order to feel safer?

If you have not added, what would you like to? I would like an alarm, bars on all my windows and doors a floodlight, cctv back and front. I do not care if i sound crazy but i feel unsafe even though i have nothing to steal! yeah! Nothing to steal, but my personal safety from some nutcase, i have to worry about! All criminals at the 3rd offence should be shot I want that sign! lol

  1. I feel perfectly safe in my home with nothing but regular locks on the doors and windows, but I wouldn't mind having a security camera at the front door so I can better check out who's ringing the bell before I answer.
  2. I keep a golf club beside my bed.
  3. a .357 magnum revolver
  4. NOTHING TO STEAL?????????????? Security is not ONLY about protecting your property, it's also about protecting YOU! One of the best things my step-daughter ever did is put up this sign. https://www.mclendons.com/img/products/10/101940.jpg I bought it for her at the gun show. For whatever reason, several of her neighbor's house have been broken into. The sign cost me $12.00 In her case, it's a bluff. I have the same sign. I'm NOT bluffing.
  5. Rottweiler's =D
  6. I've locks on all the windows, a heavy wooding gate with two locks blocking access the the rear of the property, a six foot high brick wall enclosing the back garden, PIR floodlights at the back, stone wall and gates at the front, cctv camera at the front and mortise locks on all exterior doors.
  7. A 12 bore shot-gun.
  8. 12 Gauge pump shotgun with 00 buck shot and a shortened barrel is a criminals worst nightmare. Just the sound of racking a shell in the chamber will have a criminal wetting himself. Best thing about a shotgun is you can be a halfassed shot and still be deadly.
  9. I'd advise against bars on windows as you could get trapped in the house during a fire. There should be a film that you can apply to your windows that makes it virtually unbreakable. They used it on It Takes A Thief. I would look at that as an alternative to bars.
