Why are billionaires allowed to put there money in vaults just to sit around?

While so many nations are starving, why do we live in a world where this is acceptable, billionaires don't earn billions, you can't possibly earn billions, so why don't they all take it out of there vaults and live on lets say mere millions and help the world heal itself, make sense to me, im sure there will be lots of greedy shameful people that will answer and tell me, its there money they can do what they like, you know where you can go. i hope your children don't suffer like them.

Billionaires actually don't put their money in vaults and let it sit around. That only happens in cartoons or really bad movies. Most billionaires' money is freely circulating in the economy. They've got it invested in their businesses, and in their property, and in real estate and stocks and a thousand other places where it helps to grow the economy. Sitting on money and letting it do nothing would be a really stupid choice. Billionaires didn't get so rich by being stupid.
Wow, where did you get the idea that billionaires have so much money idle. Their money is all invested in businesses. It would be very difficult to sell large portions to get cash. I think that basically you have a good idea to help the poor, but you can not just hand them the money, because then they would spend it on something foolish and it would be gone. It should be spent on an education or health care, something to help their humanity. The income alone from some of the money would be very beneficial. The two richest men in the world, Warren Buffet and William Gates have given most of their fortunes away to a charitable trust.
You sound like a communist who believes you and others should have access to other people's money for no other reason than you think you should have it. If you feel so strongly about it, how about giving me some of your money because I want it? And if you say no, you know where you can go.
