  2. There is nothing on the market that will keep you 100% safe. Also, it seems you don't understand what you are asking. Malware is kind of a catch-all term for viruses, worms, trojans, etc. What you already have is probably good enough. Avast will handle the viruses, worms and trojans, and Spybot will take care of the adware. Both are major software vendors and should be on top of things. Keep in mind, the malware makers keep making new stuff. I have had 3 infections that big name anti-virus programs did not detect. In fact, the anti-malware I have is more annoying that the malware because it never detects anything. So regardless of what the vendor might claim, none of them are 100% effective. Therefore, there is no combination that will keep you safe. I suggest Zonealarm for a firewall if they have a Win7 version. It is one of the few that checks outgoing packets. This is actually one of your better defenses against malware since many of them try to call home. I sit behind an NAT firewall and still run the software firewall just for that reason. It is actually my firewall that detects the stuff that gets by the anti-malware software. Often times, being alert to what you are doing and what is happening on your computer is what actually detects the problem. Shadow Wolf
