Do you recommend installing ADT Home Security ?

I am looking to buy the Basic Home ADT security package, Should i feel much,much,much safer with the service? Or just much,much safer, or just feel safe. I am concerned with breaking/entering my home. (two-way voice communication keyboard,motion detector.etc) i am concerned with breakin/entering my home when i am not home.... Not so much with fire,smoke alarms or home invasions. mike,others...i am all set if someone breaks in when i am at home (one kill during desert storm hand to hand combat).....i am concerned with ;how good adt is " when i am not home.

1. Yeah, i'd imagine it's a good thing to have when your NOT home. But if your AT home? Do actually think the police will be there in time to save you? Im not being a jerk, im just being serious here. The best police response time is 2 minutes. The typical person would easily be deadmeat by then. You want REAL protection, buy a handgun or shotgun. It's the ONLY chance you stand against a home burglary when your AT home. I seriously don't know how some people still don't own a firearm in this country.....it's your 2nd ammendment right. When it comes down to self defense, im not relying on anyone except myself. My family means alot to me, if I DIDNT have a gun, I would be a horrible example to my family.
2. ADT have excellent systems, but there's no security system that beats adequate outdoor lighting. Make sure you have flood lights that leave no dark approaches to your house. When you go out leave on some lights and leave a TV turned on.
