Is it safe to use a digital Guitar FX Pedal with a Bass?

The title says it all. I'm using the RP70 for my guitar, and want to know if I could run a bass type instrument through it. Thanks.

1. The problem is not the effect, it's the speaker. As long as they're up to the bass frequencies it won't be any problem at all. (And will sound REALLY COOL!)
2. just make sure about your amplifier
3. just like the 1st 2 posts said you won't hurt the pedal, the bass, or the amp, but you have to be careful of your speakers the bass guitar puts them through a lot of tough work FX adds to that (especially distortion)
