Is it bannable to rob a guild bank in wow?

I watched a video on youtube where a guy joined a guild, he looked at an offline officers character name then made a new character with a name similar to the offline officer. He then whispered someone in the guild and asked for invite and to be promoted to officer like his main. With this rank he then went up to a guild bank vault, stole all of the cash and a lot of valuable items. Would this be bannable or can i give it a shot? =P
