How do I level up more in Borderlands?

I just beat the destroyer, the guardian of the vault. The problem is that I'm only level 35. I want to get to higher levels with better guns. How do i do that? where can i get awesome guns? Where can i level up?

1. Do your second play through; all the monsters will be at a higher level. Or, play online with higher level characters and see if they can help you level up. Mostly higher levels will kick you from the game though...
2. You need to play second playthrought and you will get new guns,more levels but the difficulty is higher
3. like the first guy said play the game again but most importantly train yourself to get more headshots. The more headshots you get the faster you kill something and the faster you can move on to the next target.
4. do the second walkthrough to higher your level ..you will earn alot of xp in a short time and the second walkthrough also have better guns and items than the crimson fastness weapon chests at the first walkthrough
