what does your home defense package consist of?
just wondering what other people keep in there homes to keep you and your loved ones safe. I keep a 12GA pump action shotgun, a 9mm pistol, and a .22lr semi auto rifle for my wife. As well as my security system, my 150lbs pit bull "ZEUS" who is fearless! so what do you keep in your defense battery?

- I've got great 'don't hurt me' bambi eyes. and a baseball bat.
- 2 12 gauge pump shotgun 1 45 Colt double action revolver 1 Browning HiPower 1 P-14 2 357 magnum revolvers all in different rooms and floors of the house
- Two Rottweilers, Satan and Diablo. 12 ga security shotgun. 9mm semiautomatic with two sixteen round clips. Home security monitoring system. Looks like we are pretty much on the same page.
- I've got my Glock 19 my Pit and ADT The worse the economy gets the more desperate people get.
- At the moment, a 12 gauge Shotgun and a 9mm pistol. I guess you could also count my machete that is hanging in the closet as well.
- Well, I've got a baseball bat (for sports, officer... honest) But then again I live in England, so even if I used it on an intruder, I'd probably be arrested for assault.
- i keep 0bama youth in my basement! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls5D_73mnoA
- 2 hands, 2 feet and insanity= Home intruder praying for the cops to come and rescue him
- .40 Beretta, Colt .357, Mossberg 12 ga., Pooch the Pit Bull, and ADT. With the economic situation as it is, if you can't protect what is yours, someone else will take it.
- My home defense package consists mainly of a closed door, and in an emergency, heavy sarcasm. You see, I'm a Chicagoan who moved to Prague in the Czech Republic. Here, burglary is not common. Add to this the fact that there is 24-hour security downstairs in my building, and cameras in the stairwells. At night, security lowers a meshed, steel gate, so if I come home late, I have to ring a bell and they raise the gate for me. If some huge, civil unrest ever occurred, or some emergency prompted me to need a quick defense plan, here's mine: There is a set of double doors in the hallway, which lead to my corner of the building. Hence, I could lock these double doors, which also have locks going into the floor and ceiling, as well as put mattresses and furniture behind them to make break in nearly impossible. I have a terrace, and if I need a quick escape, I can tie a rope to the wrought iron bannister and slide down to the rooftop one floor below. From there I have many easy options for a clean getaway. So my home defense plan is completely without guns due to the unique circumstances here, but it sounds like you could lend me one in a pinch, right? Just like when some foo-foo, Libby Hollywood actors got nervous during L.A. riots and knocked sheepishly on Charlton Heston's door, asking if he had a gun to spare. I heard he just smiled broadly and said, "I've got dozens. Come in and help yourself."
- Wow - your definitely protected. I'm actually looking into a home alarm system for my home, so I've been on the hunt for a unit that fits my needs. I'm actually considering this DVR Security System from SpyTown.com, http://www.spytown.com/svcvwebredvr.html I really like the fact I can view any activity that is happening around my home in the comfort and security of inside my house.
