Where are the safes places to live in California?

I was just wondering about this because in the far future I would like to move there.

1. Most of California is safe. Why do you want to live here? What do you think will be any different that it is where you are now living? Living in California is TOTALLY different than what you see portrayed on television programs. The real California is broke, it's very expensive to live here. and jobs are almost impossible to find. More people are moving OUT of California than are moving in.
