Gymnastics and Age help?
Hi, I'm writing a mystery novel and I need help. The culprit is a former Olympic-level gymnast and has been out of practice for three years. After shooting the victim she drops the gun and vaults over a fence, would the murderer still be able to do this after three years of not practicing gymnastics?

- I guess so. It wouldn't be unrealistic for it to happen.
- like... a handspring? yes, that would be possible. I can still do a back handspring and it's been years.
- More than likely. An elite level gymnast retains a lot of muscle memory for many years after ceasing training, as long as there is not significant weight gain and loss of endurance. I personally stopped gymnastics from age 18 till I just now restarted at the age of 26, and I can still do almost all of my old skills!
