Do cops need a special warrant to search safes or to destroy them to open them?

So lets say I have a mini-safe in the back of my car. The school searches my car and wants to open the safe. Lets say I don't know the combination. Do they need a special warrant to destroy the safe and see its contents? Thanks for your answers

1. If the police have sufficient probable cause to obtain a Search warrant, any reasonable amount of force necessary to effect the search is permissible. That includes sawing open a safe. They have sawed cars into to pieces on the authority of a warrant.
