Vista Crashed! (home basic) whats the best option for me to do?
I was in safe mode getting rid of a lot of nasty trojans and malware. Once I got it done, I went out of Safe Mode using the msconfig method, ( search msconfig, press enter, go to booting, and click safe boot: none.) It asked to go to normal windows, i said yes. Once I went to Normal Windows and it loaded up, IT CRASHED and showed me Advanced Boot Options: It says: Repair Your Computer Safe Mode Safe Mode with Networking (internet) Safe Mode with the Command Prompt Enable Boot Logging Enable Low resolution video- 640x480 Last known good configuration (Advanced) Directory Services Restore Mode Debugging Mode Start Windows Normally... So what would be the BEST choice for me to pick? By the way, this crash happened to me 3 times...

- For starters try Last known good configuration and see if that works... After that look at this post: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial143.html and see if you can use System Restore to fix your problem
- The Trojans and viruses probably disabled System Restore and deleted all the restore files. Your best bet at this point is to try that but do not keep your hopes up it will work. Then go to repair if that does not work. You just might get lucky.
- You need a Vista disk. Boot from a Vista disk and do a repair. It will restore the missing and corrupted system files. After that your restore partition will probably not work.
- Computers crash in most cases for registry problems. When you first buy your computer and bring it home it runs at optimum speed, but over time the registry becomes overloaded with unnecessary files and programs. Some of these files become corrupt and problems develop such as the computer crashing. You can fix these current computer crashes by running a registry cleaners.I should like to commend Registry Easy http://computer-e-book-money.com to you ! You can try ! Good luck!
