- The process you're looking to perform is called a "reformat". A reformat of a computer is when you basically remove the old operating system on it that has saved all of your files and programs onto it, and replace that now empty space (on your hard drive) with a new Operating System (or the same one, just without the old data, such as windows or linex). To do this with your windows vista, you should just have to place the windows vista CD into your CD Drive and then restart the computer. Upon start up, it will prompt you to install windows vista to your hard drive. Follow the terms, agreeing to delete all existing data on the PC and proceed to reinstall your windows vista onto your data "partition". Choose the partition that has the most space on it, if there are multiple partitions. It is quite easy, really, you just have to follow the commands. edit: If you do not have your CD, you may have to purchase a new one or download the CD's content and then burn it to a CD to use. You will need your activation code. You can put your movies on a flash drive or an external hard drive. Otherwise, there are some storage spaces on the net that might require renting out, though some are free. You might be able to upload a lot to megaupload or a similar hosting site. If you google around, you'll be able to find a file packing device I'm sure.
- if you reinstall your computer in that way, your movies will be delete. i think you could make a copy of your movies to your device.
