i forgot my combination to my brinks home safe model 5056?

i forgot the combination any tip on how to open or crack it without the combination

1. do you have the original documentation? if so there should be info on getting customer service for exactly this kind oft hing. my two safes came with info for free help from the manufacturer in case I forgot the combo, and loose the keys. you can hire a locksmith to open the safe, generally he/she would break the safe though if you're the DIY type with all kinds of tools, most cheapo safes can be cut open with a dremel or other high speed abrasive cutting tool. My Dremel 100 with those thin brown cutting discs can cut hardened steel like a hot knife thru butter. Safe walls under 16 gauge can be cut this way. if you're the pyro kind you could: A> shoot the lock (if you know what part of the door its in) B> use thermite to burn the hinges off (given the hinges are exposed) c> blast it open.. chances are if you are that kind of pyro you've already done that.
