Where to find weapons in Fallout 3 right after leaving Vault 101?

I borrowed F3 from a friend and now I just got out of the Vault and just defused the bomb. But I dont have any weapons other than a pistol and a bb gun >.<. Where should I find/buy new weapons?

1. if you get attacked kill the person search him and steal his gone, if not go to the store in Megaton and buy some weapons!
2. Talk to Lucy West in Megaton and then she will tell you to go to Arefu. On the way there there will be large partly destroyed bridge near Vault 101 will some raiders on. One of the has a sniper rifle which is the gun that I played through most of the game with and really helps early on.
3. If you talk to Moriarty about your dad, he might tell you to go to Springvale (the ruins between Vault 101 and Megaton) to take back 200 caps from a woman, Silver, so you can use them to buy the info he has. (how you get the caps from her is up to you) OR you can use the caps to buy weapons in Moira Brown's Craterside store. Another way is to start the "Wasteland Survival Guide" quest from Moira Brown and choose to find food and medicine. The map marker will take you to Super-Duper Mart, where you can find raiders, inside and outside, with decent weapons (hunting rifles, SMG). Assault weapons and lasers can be found inside, sometimes in locked containers. Beware of the well-equiped raiders inside the mart.
4. There are many ways to get weapons: 1. Do quests, earn money, and buy new weapons 2. Kill random people and take their possessions (Most characters in the game carry at least a pistol of machine gun) 3. Kill a bad guy (All bad guys, like raiders, have weapons like a shotgun, machine gun, and if your lucky a flamethrower) 4. You can make your own weapon (You'll need to buy the schematics for certain weapons though) 5. Some people keep their weapons in their house, you'll lose karma, but it's worth it dependng on the weapon. That's pretty much all I can think of. Hope this helps!
