can you build a climbing wall on a brick wall?
On the side of my house (outside) we have a very high brick wall which is completely plain (there is nothing on it) . I know climbing walls are not usually brick, but would it be possible and safe to attach holds to the wall?

- depends on how brittle the brick is
- It can be made safely, but it is going to cause a lot of damage to your brick wall. You would be better off putting a structure in fron to fo the brick wall, rather than attaching the hand and foot holds to the brick.
- you could have individual bricks cut out and relaid with them sticking out enough to get a grip on them...
- If your able to drill deep enough into the wall to securely sink the foot holds. And if it's not brittle enough. I hope it turns out well.
- the red small bricks are for looks only and in most cases are not attached to the building ( there may be a few places where it may be attached to build be flat pieces of metal....be sure u don't pull the wall down by putting weight on it
