How many vaults are in fallout new vegas and where are they located?

I would like to know how many of them there anre and where to find the vaults.

1. 44 they are all located in new vegas
2. from what i count on the map there are 6 vaults,i will try to give you the closest main place near each of them.vault 22,remnants bunker then head northwest.vault 19,Whitaker farm stand head west.vault 3,south vegas ruins east entrance head south.vault 34,cannibal Johnson's cave,head south west.vault 11,188 trading post,head south.vault 21,the tops casino,head east and by the looks of it on the map you need to go underground to find this one because its in the strip.hope this helps.good luck in new vegas.
