stack on safe digital lock problems?

my dad has a stack on elite safe with a digital key pad. the problem is when he goes to enter the code it beeps once then does not respond. he is able to open it with the key, but that is getting old for him because he has to come to my house to open his safe since he keeps his key in my safe. we have hit the reset button reset and changed the battery, no luck. any ideas would be apprfeciated. thanks in advance.

1. Contact customer support at the manufacturer's?? Or google the problem... maybe "safe keypad problem" that's how I find most of my answers. Good luck, GC
2. The unit has FORGOTTEN his code. The single beep indicates what it believes is an INCORRECT code. Consult the manual about how to reprogram the code.
