how to get caps in fallout 3?

omg... so i just got out of the vault and i did a couple missions in megaton... now im stuck... how the hell do i get caps????????? when i get a gun from someone its in shitty condition then when i barely can afford ammo for it i run out and have nothing else to do...... god how do you get caps in fallout 3!!?!??

1. usually u can talk to random people and get jobs and you will most likely get paid.... u could also sell all armor and weapons and miscellanious items that you dont use
2. I would say when you first start the game to grab anything you can without stealing it and sell it for weapons and armor. Then once you get a good gun you like get alot of ammo and start to kill but use the V.A.T.S it helps you don't waste alot of ammo. But mostly selling weapons and armor from people helped me. Do Quest for people to get paid too.
