My vet gave me biomox for my cat and after i got home and the office was closed I noticed it said for dogs onl?

I discovered it says for dogs only. I am afraid to give it to my cat unsure if that is safe. Help!!!

1. It is perfectly safe. Lots of medications are used on both dogs and cats.
2. Some vets make big mistakes. You have to be very careful when giving them medicines because it could be harmful for your pet. I suggest you talk to your vet and tell him that it says that it is only for dogs.
3. Biomox is just Amocillin liquid and is fine in the treatment for cats and dogs,some medicines only get FDA approval for use in dogs but can still be used for cats,that type is called off label use,but to be sure call up the vets office as soon as they open before giving the medicine,to be certain that it is correct.
