MY COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH A VIRUS. A WINDOW POPS UP SAYING I HAVE VIRUSES BUT THE PROGRAM IS XP HOME SECURITY AND WHEN I TRY TO DELETE THE VIRUSES, ANOTHER WINDOW POPS UP SAYING I HAVE TO BUY THE PROGRAM. WHEN I CLICK NOT TO BUY, IT OPENS AGAIN AND AGAIN SAYING I HAVE A VIRUS AND IT WON'T LET ME GO ON THE INTERNET OR STUFF. IT WON'T EVEN LET ME GO ON CONTROL PANEL STUFF (IT LETS ME OPEN CONTROL PANEL BUT WHEN I TRY TO CLICK ON SOMETHING LIKE FONTS OR MOUSE IT DOESN'T OPEN!!!!) I know, I read a lot of other answers on other questions like this, but even in safe mode XP Home Security virus won't let me open anything! They let me open My Documents and stuff like that (My Music, My Pictures, My Computer.. ect.) But when I try to open properties or an exe. , it doesn't open! It's so annoying!! D: I repeat again, I AM IN SAFE MODE! I can't open the internet on the computer that's infected with the virus. Any help? Please? ): I think my computer is Windows Vista or XP. I'm not sure..

- Very interesting, it sounds like you have a scareware virus. This type of virus generates popups like the ones your experiencing. These viruses can steal your information,DO NOT enter your information in any of the pop ups or you will have id theft on your hands I think you should try system restore and if that doesn't work then you must try to open run and then type regedit this will bring up the registry, find the program under hkey local machine then right click on the program then press delete this will remove the program,PS run in safe mode for this. if this doesn't work then tell me exactly what your computer says and i will help you if need be.
