Are fireproof safes sufficient in keeping medications safe?
I just bought a fireproof safe that says it will protect items from heat of up to 1,150 degrees for half an hour, and I was wondering if it would also protect medications as well. I'm on certain expensive medications that I'd hate to have to replace in case of fire and was considering putting a supply of my medications inside the safe. Any insight on whether such a safe would be adequate for protecting meds, or is there another storage option I should consider?

- That sounds great to me for the medications!! Check each of your med's storage specifications and unless they can't be stored in the dark or below a certain temperature, then everything should be okay! Hope this helps.
- takes longer than a half hour to put out a house fire it's safe for daily storage but if the tragedy happens of a fire your meds are gone your druggist / pharmacist will have extra for you in case of emergency if they are that important to your existence - they are suppose to anyways i know mom has asked mine and she keeps two weeks of mine just in case of an emergency or a blizzard or tornado and we would accidentally need it
