when off duty, or is there usually a weapon's vault or armory at their police station?

1. police officers take their guns home, and are supposed to bring it wherever they are; but it should be concealed when they are off duty. only heavier and stronger guns that they use during certain situations like hostages or holdups like rifles and shotguns they keep in vaults and the armory of the police station.

3. It depends on what the individual department policy is . Some police departments require the weapon to be left at the duty station some allow the officer to take the weapon home .
