How can I download images from a PC game?

I'm doing a project based on the Fallout video game franchise and I'd like to use images of the Vault Boy used throughout the games. [Example here: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/1257/178076-thumbs_up_large.jpg] I would prefer to use the original images as opposed to those I find on Google; I'm assuming they will be higher quality. However, I can't seem to locate the image files on the game disc. (Just to be clear, I am doing this on a PC with a PC game.) Specifically, I'm looking for the perk icons on the discs. Can I download the images for the perks from the game disc? If so, where on the disc are they located? Thanks for any help you can provide! Sorry about that; new photo here: http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/b/bc/Vault_Boy.png The problem with copying and pasting is that I would have to tediously edit out the background, which I would rather not do. I'm looking for the simple black and white versions of these as opposed to the light-lined versions in-game. Rick, I'm not sure you really understand why I don't want to use Print Screen and I don't really feel like explaining it to you. Amol, I was trying to avoid installing the game as I don't play on the computer but I went ahead and ran it and let it load, but I there are still no icons to be found. Suggestions?

  1. can't view picture, but did you try the PrintScreen button on your keyboard? then paste in paint or photo editor.
  2. just go to your original game folder where you have installed your game there you will find the images folder and u can download the games
  3. Wth people, its called Print sceen, then use paint to crop it. Not that hard... Its so basic! What? Full screen? Make it a window and try again. Can't make a window mode? You use 3Danalyzer to force it. Still can't figure it out? Then... Go do something else. Idk, make a magnetic waffle.
