Is it safe to buy electronics from Amazon?

I want to buy a printer on amazon. It is a cannon multi-use printer which is perfect for printing documents, pictures and even scanning images. This would be perfect for my home business. Something like this usually runs about $70-$100 brand new but on amazon, they sell new printers like this for only $35. The printer got 4 out of 5 stars but the reviews are mainly for the printer itself, not the sale through amazon. So I must ask, is it really safe to buy this on amazon for that low of a price? The item is brand new.

1. amazon ships safely, but the condition is questionable if you buy used (like everywhere else)

3. First you have to look at the condition of the printer. Is it "new" or "used"? There are thousands of sellers on Amazon. Look at the name of the seller. Is it listed as "Amazon" or someone else? If its someone else, look at their feedback. Unless the seller has a 100% positive feedback, do not buy the printer.
4. I think it is safe to buy from Amazon, but you need to make sure that the product is sold by Amazon.com , not by other vendors. Sometimes other merchants also can sell products from Amazon.com
