Is there a programme that you can put your files into which act like a digital safe so to protect if stolen?
As I have been told windows XP security is weak. I concern that if my computer was stolen my files could be easily accessed. As I have been told windows XP security is weak. I have Virus soft ware, firewall etc I do not want to password each doc as this would take hours. I mean Individually in last added detail.

- creat a windows live acccount or hotmail account and go to skydrive.live.com and u will get 5GB online storage free
- The only thing I could recommend is to buy a memory stick and put your documents on that.
- Its not upto windows to protect your computer from hackers its yours. download a good anti-virus, spyware and a good firewall (i'd recommend zone alarm) have them running all the time, up-date them regularly and your computer will be fine. anybody capable of hacking into your computer will have the knowledge to get into any computer file safe!
- You can PASSWORD protect documents so they can not be viewed by anyone who didn't have the PW. Use Microsoft help to find out how this is done.
- Use Winrar and a good alpha/numerical password when you rar up your precious data. Don't forget the password though, otherwise you'll never be able to get the data (documents etc) back.
- True Crypt you can set a partition in your harddrive and then make a folder and put all your documents in them and password seal it after you download it google a tutorial for it
- put them on a usb mass storage device. then you can put them where you want, you can then even put them in your underpants if your that worried.
- Make it a RAR file and encrypt it with a password.
- ricky B is the only one who has answered this right... u can do what he said, or you can google "online backup", there u will find, paid pages, or free pages, where you will be able to upload up to 20gb i think... good luck
