how to start windows xp home in safe mode?

i need to start xp home in safe mode how do i do that ?

1. Hold F8 while your computer is booting up and choose safe mode.
2. When your pc is booting up press F2 or F8 then it should prompt for regular start up or safe mode.
3. Shut down your system. Press the power button, and once the keyboard lights flash, press and hold F8. A screen may pop up momentarily asking you to select a boot device. If it does pop up, select your hard drive and continue holding F8. It will then display the boot mode selection screen, if it didn't already. Simply use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode, and hit Enter. Your computer will boot into Safe Mode, which will take longer (sometimes a LOT longer) so be patient. There you go!
4. Hold down the F8 key while your computer is starting up the use the up and enter down keys to get to safe mode from there.
