Safe Luxury

Is it true that the safest place to have your money is right there with you in a fire proof safe?

I have been told by grandparents that the safest place for money is right here at home in a safe box. They say that if someone sues you or you get into some other financial trouble it will be wiped out in no time.

  1. Your grandparents most likely grew up in the Great Depression so they probably are less likely to trust banks because when they were kids if you invested your money into a bank, you lost it. But today, a bank would be the best place to store your money just because if you lose it in the bank, they have to repay you, and if it gets stolen at your house, no one will pay you back.
  2. Put your money in the bank. I can take your fire box.
