I bought an at-home hair dye, can I use it months later?
I tried checking for an expiration date on my at-home hair dye, but as far as I can see I can't find one. Does anybody know where it's located? If not, does anybody know how long I can keep an at-home hair dye unused before it expires? I did open the box, if that makes a difference, but all the bottles were left alone. When do at-home hair dyes expire? Is it safe to use it months after purchase? My product is Revlon ColorSilk in blue black.

- It should be fine if the bottles are un opened.
- Yes it is fine. I use ColorSilk in Strawberry Blond.
- I buy that same brand when on sale and keep them till I want to use it and i never had a problem There is an 800 # on the box you could try giving them a call Im sure they could answerr the question
- Should be fine....if you really want to make sure call the toll free help line # on the box and ask the company itself.
- When you open all the chemicals their exposed to the air which and deflate their purpose so they tend to go bad after the next day you open the CHEMICAL part if you just opened the box then its good for like 2 months..... well hope this helps britt
- One of the bottles are the developer and the other is the color....if you can still see through the color it is good if not get rid of it. The color is not see through when it has been exposed to the air or expired.
